Description
Big Poster Gleimtunnel
The Poster Gleimtunnel Berlin is panoramic (56 x 20 cm / 22 x 7,87 inches) and represents the intersection of the roads”Gleimstrasse” and “Schwedter Strasse”.
I drew this urban sketch on the 11th of April 2018 directly at the location in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg: map
As a technique I applied wash drawing (ink + water). And as artistic tools I used for the Poster Gleimtunnel Berlin:
- a little black panoramic sketchbook that I began in 2010 (Format 43 x 14,5 cm – 17″ x 6″-, ca. 120 g/m2 – 410 lb.in2-)
- a calligraphic pen (“Pilot Parallel Pen”- 2.4 mm)
- fineliner Staedtler® (0,05 and 0,1)
- 2 paint brushes (fine and medium)
- dry pastels
I was sitting on the pavement in front of this crossroad, back to the Mauerpark.
In the Gleimtunnel was a check point of the Berlin Wall. Now it’s the “Berliner Mauerweg”.
These cherrytrees (symbol of Peace in Japan) are although planted after the cold war on the border of the Berlin Wall .
This illustration is also on my portfolio Urban Sketches.
Here you can see other big posters Laeti-Berlin.
