Poster Molecule Men Berlin

The poster Molecule Men Berlin represents the sculpture of the Molecule Men. In the background you can see the bridge Elsenbrücke.
I drew this urban sketch on the 28th of June 2018 directly at the location. We are in the border of the berlin center. I was sitting on the bay “Spreeuferweg Teptow” during the sunset.

The Molecule Men sculpture is a symbol of Berlin Reunification after the Wall. This is the meeting point of 3 districts, here symbolised with these 3 men: Kreuzberg, Alt-Treptow and Friedrichshain. The river Spree was the boarder between East- and West-Berlin.

As a technique I applied wash drawing (ink & water). And as artistic tools I used for this illustration:

• a paperblock “Daler-Rowney” (watercolor paper, Format 210 x 297 mm – 8.3 x 11.7 inches-, 200 g/m2 – 120 lb.- 100% recycled)
• 2 fineliner Staedtler® pigment liner 0.05 and 0.1
• paint brushes (fines and mediums)
• watercolor
• dry pastels

This format Din A4 is vertical.
