Description
Big Poster Tempelhofer Feld
The Poster Tempelhofer Feld Berlin is panoramic (550 x 205 mm / 21,6 x 8,1 inch) and represents the parc of Tempelhofer Feld, an old airport. It’s located in two quarters of Berlin: “Neukölln” and “Tempelhof-Schöneberg”.
I drew this urban sketch on the 30th of April 2011 directly at the location in Berlin-Neukölln.
As a technique I applied wash drawing (ink and water). And as artistic tools I used for this illustration:
- asketch book (Watercolour Paper- fine grain, Format 31 x 22 cm -12,20″ x 8,66″-, 280 g/m2 -140 lb-)
- a calligraphic pen (“Pilot Parallel Pen”- 2.4 mm)
- 2 paint brushes (fine and medium)
I was sitting in the grass, close from the entry of the park at “Oderstr.”. It was beautiful weather at the beginning of spring.
I just needed one hour. As I wanted to show only an impression of the atmosphere of this park, I left a lot of space in order to suggest the peaceful sensation of this area.
The former Tempelhof airport is now a public park in the center of the city, which is still one of those places reassigned, typical Berlin, where it advocates the wind, freedom and deliverance … the sunset is so beautiful there!
This illustration of the Poster Tempelhofer Feld Berlin is also on my blog “Traversée d’Encres”.
