Poster Alte Nationalgalerie Berlin
The Alte Nationalgalerie Poster Berlin represents the museum “Alte Nationalgalerie”. It’s located of the Museum’s Island. Close to the river Spree and the “Dom” (church).
I drew this urban sketch on the 5th of August 2010 directly at the location in Berlin-Mitte.
We are in the center of Berlin with many museums. The culture has a big place in Berlin!
As a technique I applied wash drawing (ink and water). So as artistic tools I used for this illustration:
- a sketchbook (Watercolour Paper “Daler Rowney” Aquafine, Format 20 x 40 cm -8″ x 16″-, 300 g/m2 -140 lb.in2-)
- a calligraphic pen (“Pilot Parallel Pen”- 2.4 mm)
- 2 paint brushes (fine and medium)
I was sitting front of the big wall of top of the staircase. I needed one hour for this illustration. It was interesting to see the contrast between the Greek architecure and the contemporary Installation front of the door with aluminium caps from Afrika.
Like actors on a theatre stage, I interpreted the scultptures. And I try to make those characters come alive.
This illustration is also on my blog “Traversée d’Encres”.
Here more prints A4 Laeti-Berlin.
